Work-Life Balance: What Can You Do For It ?




Yes,
few years ago I wanted a perfect Work-Life Balance.

However as I strive for Perfection I realized that it's not easy to achieve.

But it is essential for our emotional well-being.

Some of its benefits are as follows:
# Improved health
# More time for hobbies
# Can have a better social life
# Increased life satisfaction

Here are few things which helped me achieve a better work-life balance:

## Choose your career wisely: 
-------------------------------------
If you choose to opt something you love, then maintaining a balance will never 
be stressful. So how ever exhausting the day was, you will be satisfied and in
 a better mood when you reach home.

## Give importance to personal goals too: 
-------------------------------------
Professional achievements are important, but that should not be your only priority. 
From office work you will never get importance for your personal goals.
You have to deliberately schedule it your self.

## Manage time effectively: 
-------------------------------------
Have an organised time-frame for both work and home. 
Working even when you reach home will reduce the quality time you can spend 
with your spouse or children.

## Don’t be greedy: 
-------------------------------------
Be passionate about your work but not greedy. 
Working overtime just for promotion can never be counted as passion. 

Again you are reducing the time you could have spent to take care of your 
personal needs.

## Identify priorities: 
-------------------------------------
Make a to-do list and prioritize it according to their importance. Be sure to keep 
some time to spend with your family daily in the high priority list (as little as 10 
mins is a good start )

In short 
Respect your "Me-time" 
and this will greatly help you to reduce your stress level and maintain a Healthy life.
