Create A Vision Of Who You Want To Be, And Then Live Into That Picture As If It Were Already True

In life or work, every new venture starts with a goal in mind; a goal which we aim for and desire to achieve. The goal could be anything ranging from quitting a habit to establishing a business empire. A goal provides us the motivation and inner drive to achieve what we are aiming for. With the goal in mind people put in all their effort and planning skills in use. But one thing that we fail to utilise to the fullest is our power of visualization.

Every great venture starts with new energy and excitement. Many times people chalk out the plans, work out the ways in the mind but forget to put it out on paper. This makes the mind crowded with ideas but there is nothing factual in reality. This leads to unnecessary stress and mental block. Moreover, in spite all the planning people are unable to move beyond that stage due to fear of the unknown, negative thoughts or social pressure. The only way to overcome this challenge is by pouring out your ideas on paper and through power of visualisation. By jotting down your ideas and plans you can free your mind from stress and create space for more innovative ideas.  Additionally, visualisation lets you live your goal even before achieving it. It’s like dreaming with your eyes open. The ability to see the impossible outcome makes you believe in that possibility. Great athletes and performers like boxing legend Muhammad Ali and Michael Jordan have tapped their power of visualisation to enhance their performance and achieve the best. Remember, visualisation would never be an alternative for hard work and perseverance but it definitely increases concentration and aids in overcoming fears and anxieties.

So, “Create a vision of who you want to be, and then live into that picture as if it were already true “-Arnold Schwarzenegger

You’ve Got To Win Your Mind Before You Win In Your Life

It’s said, “If your dreams don’t scare you they are not big enough”. Taking a plunge from a regular job to entrepreneurship is a huge feat. It’s choosing uncertainty against stability and it’s definitely a dream that is quite scary enough. But what is it that makes taking this decision so difficult? It’s an on-going battle within your mind. It is the hardest battle you need to fight against yourself.

Decision making has always been the most difficult thing to do. When you desire to become an entrepreneur, you mind gives you innumerable excuses as to why you can’t do it. Why is it so? It’s because of the fear of the unknown, fear of giving up stability, fear of change and most importantly fear of failure. So how is it that you can overcome that fear? It can be overcome by accepting your decision and change whole-heartedly and by becoming part of the flow rather than resisting it. You need to face the fear head-on and don’t let the fear over-power you. It’s aptly said “It all begins and ends in your mind. What you give power to, has power over you, if you allow it.”

Define Success On Your Own Terms, Achieve It By Your Own Rules, And Build A Life You’re Proud To Live

Every individual is born on this earth with unique qualities and purpose. But as we grow older due to the society we are in we tend to start living our lives based on the rules set by others. In the process we lose our individualities and our own self.

In order to live life on your own terms you will have to get rid of social shackles and design rules for yourself which make you happy and most importantly lets you be ‘YOU’. Learn to respect yourself and set your priorities right instead of blindly following and trusting others. Question the rules and customs which don’t seem right and follow the ones you believe in. Don’t get bogged down by people’s opinions and take control over your life. As far as you don’t disrupt the harmony and well-being of others you are entitled to live life based on the rules designed by you. Do not let others dictate how you should lead your life as this life is yours. Make rules, stand by it and create your future.

The Bad Habit Is Not Invincible And You Can Get Back To Your Good Normal Stuff

Habits are more powerful than we think. Bad habits deter us from reaching our goals. Some of the habits that we develop over time are quite difficult to change as most of the habits are involuntary. As it’s said “Bad habits die hard”. If some of the habits are bad then why do we develop them?

Generally, bad habits are the result of daily stress or boredom. Habits such as smoking, drinking, nail biting or net surfing are the ways to cope up with your daily stress or boredom. Since the bad habits help you to get rid of stress or boredom it seems advantageous to your mind and you tend to keep doing it persistently. Over the time, these bad habits become the part of your life-style. So, trying to stop that is futile. Instead you need to replace that habit with a positive one that provides the similar benefit as the bad habit. For e.g. If you feel the urge to eat junk food when you’re stressed, then replace that habit by listening to soothing music or eating something healthy that you like it. New positive habits can also be formed by joining hands with someone who practices doing it. This way they can act as a motivation for you to develop a positive habit. Finally, no bad habit can be replaced until you realise you have one and are aware about it. Therefore self-awareness is the first step towards your positive change.

All habits are learnable. The bad habit is not invincible and you can get back to your good normal stuff. All you need is self-awareness, will power, Self-discipline and perseverance; and in no time you can see your reformed self. All the Best for your new Life.

If You Want To Change Anyone Then Start With Yourself

You all love certain things about yourselves and detest some of them and expect people to accept you with all your strengths and flaws. Then why is it that you expect people to change and sacrifice their habits for you? Why do you secretly hope that people will give up some of their goals and change some of their habits for you?

Many times you tend to think that you know what’s best for others, but to be honest, by doing that you are trying to align their habits and goals to yours. You may gift wrap the word ‘change’ with the words such as motivate and inspire but the bottom line is that you are changing them and trying to fool yourself. It’s very important that you accept people for who they are and not what you want them to be because the process of changing others can be quite exhausting and frustrating. It would be like sailing your boat against the flow of the river and all your efforts would be futile. Each one of you know how you want to be treated by others but fail to understand that people too want to be treated in the same way. So it would be unfair to enforce change upon others. Moreover, rather than focussing your time and energy on changing others it’s better to introspect oneself and concentrate on bringing on the change in yourself. So, don’t try to change people. That is not your job. If you want to change anyone then start with yourself.

Remember, “When people are ready to, they change. They never do it before then, and sometimes they die before they get around to it. You can’t make them change if they don’t want to, just like when they do want to, you can’t stop them.”-Andy Warhol
